Rebekah leads AusBiotech as its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, as an experienced leader with extensive strategy, public policy, stakeholder and media experience, coupled with deep health industry expertise.
In this role, she works closely with public policy impacting the life sciences sector at state and Federal levels, including economic development, tax incentives, patent protection, medical research and its commercialisation.
Rebekah works with the broad biotechnology community and AusBiotech’s 3,000+ members to inform and support industry development. Having played critical leadership roles in some of Australia’s largest corporations, for global organisations and in government, Rebekah is recognised for her ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments, forge trusted strategic partnerships, and drive meaningful change.
She has built an exemplary track record leading high performing multi-disciplinary teams across a range of industries from medicines and vaccines to frontline health, finance and infrastructure. Her people know her as an authentic leader who is enthusiastic about building organisations that actively challenge the status quo and walk the talk in delivering real change for the communities they serve.
Rebekah is passionate about amplifying the impact of Australia’s life-sciences sector through advocacy for positive reform, effective cross-sector collaborations, and investment attraction.
Prior to joining AusBiotech, Rebekah worked in corporate, government affairs, and sutainability at multinational pharmaceutical company Sanofi, and held policy and communication roles at the Victorian Government, including with the Office of the Premier of Victoria and the Department of Transport.
