Dr Dell Kingsford Smith brings 25 years of experience in clinical and commercial strategy across the medical technology, pharmaceutical, and vaccine sectors. Her expertise spans the full product lifecycle from discovery through to commercialisation.
She currently serves as Vice President of Medical Affairs, Market Access, and Government Affairs for Cochlear Ltd Asia Pacific (ASX: COH), where she leads efforts to advance patient access through clinical evidence development, regulatory policy, and stakeholder engagement.
Previously, Dr Kingsford Smith held senior local and global leadership roles at Janssen, the Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, focusing on market access, pricing, and commercial strategy. Her contributions to regulatory and reimbursement reform in Australia were recognised with the Medicines Australia Pat Clear Award in 2010.
While based in the United States, she led market access and pricing strategies across oncology, immunology, and infectious diseases, supported the acquisition and integration of early-stage biotech companies, and oversaw global access policy in key international markets.
Dr Kingsford Smith served as AusBiotech’s Board Observer in 2024 prior to being elected as a Board Member.
