National Science Week (9–17 August 2025) is Australia’s annual celebration of science and technology, recognising the research, discovery, and innovation shaping our world. This year’s theme — ‘Decoding the Universe: Exploring the unknown with nature’s hidden language’ — invites us to explore the fundamental building blocks of life and DNA, from quantum science and biology to data and diagnostics. 

As Australia’s life sciences peak body, AusBiotech is proud to take part in National Science Week by highlighting the world-leading scientific research and commercialisation taking place across our member network. With more than 3,000 members spanning biotechnology, medical technologies, digital health, and research, we represent a rich ecosystem advancing real-world outcomes — from lab breakthroughs to global markets. 

To mark the week, AusBiotech is launching a LinkedIn campaign that celebrates the scientists and innovators helping to decode the unknown — whether that’s through pioneering therapeutics, regenerative medicine, bioinformatics, or molecular diagnostics. Our aim is to showcase the people and organisations translating Australian science into breakthroughs. 

Get involved: Share your story 

If you're a member of AusBiotech and your work is contributing to science that helps decode nature’s hidden language, we want to hear from you. We’re inviting members from across the life sciences sector — including researchers, scientists, commercialisation leaders, and startup founders — to be featured in our LinkedIn campaign. 

What to submit: 

• A short paragraph (100–150 words) describing you (or your colleagues) contributions to Australia's world-class scientific  
• OR A quote from a team member or leader on why this work matters or what excites you about it 
• A high-resolution image (for example, lab, product, team, or facility photo) 
• Name, job title, and organisation 

Selected submissions will be profiled to our 34,000+ LinkedIn followers, showcasing your contribution to Australia’s leadership in science, technology, and health innovation.
