What do we do. Our Priorities.

AusBiotech advocates and shapes policy, creates important and enduring connections, and enables knowledge-sharing amongst our more than 3,000 members to help them and Australia’s broader life sciences industry to thrive.

Now more than ever, Australia’s life sciences sector requires unified and collaborative sector wide representation. In a rapidly evolving world – characterised by pandemics, supply chain challenges, a rise in chronic diseases, ageing populations, climate change, and changes within the global geopolitical landscape – Australia’s life sciences capability represents a significant asset for our economic and health security, and the health and wellbeing of all Australians.

While Australia continues to produce many world-first health innovations, more work is needed to develop, commercialise and manufacture more of those innovations onshore. That’s why AusBiotech is delivering upon clear priority areas that advocate for and promote both the local and global growth of the Australian life sciences industry.

We advocate and shape policy.

At AusBiotech, we know that the life sciences industry is a sleeping giant of Australia’s future economy. The work of our members is crucial to the future health and wealth of our nation and their capability is critical to our country’s ongoing health security.
